Stomach Virus

Well, as of yesterday I no longer dodged all the sickness going around me.  Monday night I was tossing and turning and my whole body ached.  That morning I awoke nauseous but still ate a normal breakfast.  I was babysitting a little girl and had to pick her up from school @ noon.  So feeling a little queasy, but mainly just achy like fighting off a cold, I went to pick her up.  I was doing well and feeling hungry when we got to my house and I made some lunch...I was cutting the first portion to eat when the smell got to be too much and proceeded to empty my stomach repeatedly into the sick.  The poor 4 year old girl didn't know what to think.  Thankfully she eats lunch at school and it was time for her nap.  So I put her to bed and she slept well, while I took a nap too.  I informed her dad at work that I was sick and they sent over a neighbor a few hours later to come pick her up.  I sure hope that she or her family don't get it.  If I had known what it was, I would have not even picked her up...although I took care of her the day before, so technically she was already exposed to me coming down with it.

Thankfully if I lay in bed and sip on water in between naps and snack on almonds or peanut butter toast, I seem to do fine.  I had only thrown up @ 1pm yesterday and then this morning @ 9am.  I was feeling much better this morning and decided to make an egg and see if I could eat it.  Well, I guess that was not a good idea.  I am hoping this is a short lived virus, because despite the bouts of nausea I am starving!  Sydney continues to kick me a lot, wondering what is going on, but letting me know she is okay.  I read as long as you stay hydrated, your body will care for the baby first.  I am just grateful this is a mild version of the virus, because I have heard stories of pregnant women needing IVs because their body won't keep anything down.
