Pregnancy Highlights

I thought I would do the typical pregnancy questions this time around to get some ideas on what to post...

*How Far Along: 31 Weeks

*Size of baby: Not sure--about 3 lbs according to normal growth tickers

*Total Weight Gain/Loss: Weigh 157--Gained 23 lbs.

*Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity everything except some pajamas.  I have finally outgrown almost everything not maternity that I was wearing.

*Gender: It's a girl!  Sydney Grace

*Movement: She is head down (I can feel her hiccup "inside of me" near my rear end) and currently loving to rest her feet on my right side ribs and kick every now and then.  It makes me jump every time!  I feel her arms on the lower left side quite often.  She is mostly active in the evening after dinner when I sit down to relax, though I feel her move throughout the day.

*Sleep: I am still sleeping very well, with one trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night.  I do wake up to flip over most times.  The hips are always hurting when I first get up if the pillow did not stay in between my legs that night.

*What I miss: Slouching =) and being able to go all day without running out of energy and my feet and back hurting.  I can't complain...I have sacrificed very little this pregnancy.

*Cravings: Nothing in particular.  Third trimester has put me back at my pre-pregnancy state of just eating because I have to and I am not enjoying food as much as I did the first two trimesters.  Sweets are more appealing again, but I limit them because I do not feel good after eating them.  Fruits usually do the trick to satisfy. =)

*Symptoms:  My back has started to hurt the last few days more in the evening or when I am driving in the car.  I can't seem to adjust the seat properly to satisfy my back.  Still going to the chiropractor once a month.  I think I might have convinced my frugal self that it might be worth going twice a month these last two months to get some relief and be in good position for delivery.  Otherwise, the cramps are gone (with no extra supplementing: weird), the heartburn is almost non-existent now, and I have been feeling pretty good.

*Best Moment this week: My first baby shower that was on Saturday!  It was so much fun and my preschool team I serve with at church out did themselves!  I thought this type of day would never happen for me the infertile. =)  And my sister came in from 8 hours away just for my shower and the weekend.  We had lots of fun hanging out.

*Stretch marks:  Not that I can tell... sometimes I think I see one, but then it is gone later.  If I do get some, I think it will be around my belly button--it always seems so tight there.

*Labor signs:  I have had the hard tightening of the belly off and on, especially when I am walking or exercising.  But I wouldn't consider them much at all, especially not labor signs.

*Belly button in or out: In, though getting very shallow. =)

*What we’re looking forward to: Seeing our precious snowflake girl.  I am so curious to know what she looks like and what her personality is going to be...   I also can't wait to get the nursery finalized.  The dresser/changing table arrived.  Now I am still waiting to get the last few pieces finalized.  A few will probably come with the showers and a few I just picked up from my friend who borrowed my bedding set a few years ago.  I also need to get the pictures up on the walls, as well as wash some more baby stuff...

It must be strange to feel hiccups inside! Kaylee has a long, awake stage in the late afternoon/evening. I wonder if it was the same in the womb? I can't wait to see your baby girl!

Love the highlights! I just started feeling a lot of Keller's hiccups too. So cute! Our first daughter's name is Sadie Grace - very similar! And I love the name Sydney : )
