Cloth Diapering Synopsis

I am still cloth diapering and love it.  Bumge.nius 4.0's are our favorite.  They fit her the best from day one.  I am going to sell my Sm.artipants because they just didn't fit her legs well.  Her Fli.ps are okay, they just are annoying with her constant poops with her digestive issues when she was younger.  Knicker Kn.appies fit fine but they are not as intuitive to put on... my husband hates them.  (He loves the Bu.mgenius).  I just save the KK's to use when I am washing her diapers...  My one Fu.zzibunz is okay too, but not as easy to adjust.   I have one All-in-one but I prefer the pockets so I can adjust the absorbency as needed. 

Also all of mine are snaps...LOVE... no laundry snagging.  And all of mine are one size.  Which has been a life saver with my giant growing weed of a baby. ;0)  I just adjust as she grows...

I use hard water Roc.kin' Green detergent with some Calgon (water softener) and Grapefruit Seed Extr.act added (yeast and bacteria killer).  Now that she is on formula and a few solids the ammonia seems to build up in the diapers now.  I am going to have to get some fish ammonia remover soon and do that.  I am also washing every other day now instead of every third day to help with that.  Not a big deal, just throw them in the washing machine beside my kitchen and transfer to dryer when done...

I use Earth Ma.ma Baby Bot.tom Balm which is safe for cloth.  That stuff is amazing at healing up diaper rashes due to her constant acid poops when she was younger and getting rid of yeast rashes when we were dealing with thrush.

My favorite part is she doesn't have blow out with the cloth due to the elastic all around.  We have had some overnight leaking issues when she was still nursing at night.  We have tried the Z.orb inserts, but they were still too bulky.  The double large he.mp inserts doubled with the microfiber insert has done the trick!

I love that I don't feel bad changing her diaper "too early" if she is not very wet because nothing is going to waste!   Or if she poops 2 minutes after the last diaper change. =)
